Following are links to just a few of the home movies that Myer Albert took over the years. When Myer died, my Dad, Richard Albert, inherited the films, and they have sat in our garage in Sunnyvale for years. I've always been very interested in the films, but we never had an 8mm project to watch them. Plus, whenever I would ask to see the films, my dad would always say, "Oh you don't want to watch those, they are just movies of the vacations we took".

After my mom's death, I rented an 8mm projector, and we pulled out some of the old films, looking for ones that included my mom.  When I returned home, I started talking with friends at work about transferring 8mm films to digital video. A few had some experience with it, and they helped me transfer the following small selection to video so I could share them with my family.

On one of my dad's visits to Seattle, we sat down and went through the films. We tried to identify everyone, and I've listed them in the basic order they appear in the clip. I've also tried to order the list of clips by date, with the oldest first. If you have any information to share about any of the clips, please email me.

I've encoded all the video in RealVideo and so you will need the RealPlayer to watch them. If you don't have RealPlayer, download a free RealPlayer. Also, there is no audio for any of the films.

There are many more films, and my goal is to digitize all the films and provide them to family members via this web site.
